Use a laundry powder organiser to establish a laundry room

The first step in establishing a laundry room organiser is getting rid of everything that isn’t laundry-related.

Due to the ample storage space it provided, we often advised clients to keep their tools, batteries, and cleaning supplies such as laundry powder or liquid in the laundry room.

Create a system that categorizes everything you consider to be “laundry items,” whatever that may be. Some common laundry supplies, however, are amenable to being packaged up and stored away to make room for other things.

First, Washing Powder packs (also known as “Laundry Pods”).

The laundry pods can be stored in a container, freeing up more room in the laundry area. The pods prevent items from piling on top of each other, making it easier to get to the laundry. The laundry powder organiser from the store’s kitchen section is perfect for storing laundry essentials.

Clear the space by reducing visual clutter and easily access all the laundry supplies you need by storing the laundry pods, powder detergent, and other powder cleaning agents in jars with glass lids.

For a more organized look in the laundry room, label the jars or leave them unlabeled.

A second option: dryer balls

When not in use, I prefer to keep my dryer balls in a glass jar rather than in the dryer. Not only do they look pretty, but they’re also contained, which means they won’t roll away and get lost. Dryer balls and essential oils are always in close proximity in my laundry room.

The Third: Clothing Carrying Bags

Socks and underwear are often collected in the garment bags I keep in the washing baskets. But I always seem to have some left over. In my laundry area, I store the garment bags in the laundry powder organiser that I hang from a baker’s rack.

Our laundry room is just the right size for a baker’s rack, and the laundry powder organiser looks lovely atop the shelves. Keeping my detergents, bleaches, and other laundry supplies in a pretty laundry powder organiser have been one of the easiest and most aesthetically pleasing methods to organize my laundry room.

Ideal Glass Containers for the Laundry Room

We usually suggest the Anchor Hocking Laundry powder organiser with Glass Lids for any client laundry room storage arrangement. We use them all the time because of how convenient they are and how lovely they make our laundry area.

There is a wide variety of laundry room sizes available. Some people may have a large dedicated laundry room, while you might be stuck with a small closet. In any case, maintaining order will make the laundry process go more smoothly and will make you appreciate the laundry room more.

COLLECTION OF IDEAS FOR STORING Items in a Laundry Room

The equipment and materials I recommend for keeping your laundry room neat and tidy are detailed below. You can tweak them to suit your own requirements and preferences, but these are my personal favorites.

STASHING YOUR LAUNDRY SUPPLIES

For my laundry room redecoration, I made the conscious decision to get rid of as much of the unattractive laundry product packaging as I could.

It may seem like a lot of work to switch everything over to a new container, but in reality, it only takes a few minutes and will completely transform the look of your laundry area. It transforms ordinary laundry accessories into attractive ornaments. The final product is absolutely perfect, and I am completely satisfied with it.

If I come across spare change while doing laundry, I put it in a little jar. My container is a repurposed candle jar from Bath & Body Works, complete with a marble top. I was relieved to discover a purpose for it in my project since it was a wonderful match.

The dryer’s accessories are kept on a shelf in close proximity to the appliance. Plus, I positioned the laundry essentials close to the machine. Therefore, both are conveniently close at hand for when I might require them.

CADDY FOR CLEANING

My first piece of advice is to clear up the clutter in the laundry area and get rid of everything that has no practical use. Things like cleaning supplies and extra paper towels can be kept in a spacious laundry room, of course.

Cleaning goods, laundry supplies, ironing supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and even some cleaning equipment are stored in the cabinets in my laundry room (like my steamer).

Because the laundry room is where I keep all of my cleaning supplies, I decided to make a cleaning caddy so that everything would have its own dedicated space.

As a consequence of this, all I have to do to clean the different restrooms located throughout the house is take a few rags and my caddy. You may read the post that I made before this one if you are interested in getting more information on creating your own cleaning caddy (and getting access to free printable labels)!

These laundry powder organizers hold a half gallon of powder and are ideal for storing laundry basics such as fabric softener, borax, and dryer sheets.

Although they are not needed, having them will help you create a polished and uniform appearance in your laundry area. These see-through jars that are one gallon in size are just the right size for keeping my wool dryer balls.

I made the labels for my washing powder organiser out of waterproof sticker paper so that they would not be harmed if they were exposed to water in any manner, including being splashed with water or being wet in any other way.

I went so far as to buy a transparent laundry powder organizer specifically for the purpose of storing my various cleaning products.

This really puts the finishing touches on the room and makes it look much more put together and professional, both of which are qualities that I admire. The switch will only take you a minute or two of your time, but you will continue to enjoy the benefits for days or even weeks to come after you make it.
